TEACH AND PREACH THE WORD OF GOD?

Let’s start with the fact that the first teacher that a child has is their mom, and every human being was born of a woman.

Now, are women called to teach and preach the Word of God? This has always been a question that many men and some women alike have questioned. I will begin by saying, God is not limited in any of His power. The Bible says in 2 Peter 2:16 that God opened the mouth of a dumb Jack Ass to speak to the people, and I haven't seen any evidence in the Bible that the Jack Ass was saved. This tells me that God can use whomever He wants to do His work.

The Bible also says in Acts 2:17 and 18, "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and my handmaidens, I will pour out in those days my Spirit; and they shall prophesy." Galatians 3:28 says, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." So, you see, God doesn't only use men and Jack Ass'. He uses any willing yielded vessel! This also tells us that male chauvinist and liberated women do not edify the Body of Christ because there is no place for them.

I believe the Bible is the true Word of God and His servants were inspired by the power of the Holy Spirit to write the Bible. It becomes evident that the same Holy Spirit that is in Jesus is the same Holy Spirit that is in men and women of God today. This is the same Spirit that gives us the power to teach and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's time for people to recognize the Spirit of God and not focus on their man-made do's and don'ts. It's nice to see that the women who have been called by God are going forth in power as the spirit leads them. The world is too big to worry about a door being closed. No matter who says you're not called, you must know in your heart that you know, that you know, you know, that God has called you to the ministry! God will make a way for you to do His will because God's work must be done God's way. Ministry is judgment work! In the words of the late Missionary Mamie Till-Mobley, mother of the late Emmett Till, “It’s not man’s work or woman’s work; it’s just work and it’s God’s work in the highest calling.”

In some churches 99.9% of the congregations are women and their children; 99.9% of the auxiliaries are enrolled with women; most of the business and secretarial functions are performed by women; 99.9% of the prayers are prayed by the women in the church, and in these same churches, 99.9% of the tithes and offerings are given by women. AMEN FOR THE WOMEN IN CHURCH! I heard a preacher say, "The devil doesn't care if women come to church." Obviously, he said this out of ignorance because the devil does care! Who does he think is praying for the men, children and loved ones to get saved? Many spouses, children, loved ones, and friends have given their hearts to the Lord because of praying women. Praise God!

In the spiritual sense, a woman's place is to do whatever she can find her hands doing for the Lord. Whether it is frying chicken, planning a fundraiser, or teaching and preaching what thus saith the Lord. But men have a place too, and it’s not all over the place. A man’s place is also in Christ Jesus then, maybe women won’t have a problem submitting to them. When it comes to winning souls for the Kingdom, gender does not matter. Some of you need to repent just for your thoughts because this type of bondage demonstrates that you have put limitations on what God can or cannot do, and you have used your personal "hang-ups" and “Man-made doctrine and traditions to justify it.

When it comes to doing the work of the Lord, religion and “Man-made doctrine and traditions” should not be built around keeping women (or anyone) under subjection. This is the same type of bondage that Caucasians inflicted on African Americans during slavery. Some people claim that they are free, but their mind is still in bondage because they still have a slave mentality. Don’t expect God to bless you when you consciously keep a lot of obstacles in the way of His Will for your life. Bondage will hinder your prayers. Put your priorities in order and lead souls to Christ instead of leading them away from Christ. Why would the world want salvation when some churches (The Body of Christ) are divided and are still arguing about what a woman’s place is, or what she is called to do, or better yet, what name a Christian should be baptized in? There’s work to be done and it’s going to take the Christians to bring the “Good News” to the world. “Matthew 28:19 says, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost,”

According to the Word of God, it is against God's divine Spiritual Protocol for the Body of Christ to have power struggles of any kind. “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.” 1 Corinthians 14:33 “Confusion is just another trick of the devil to keep God’s people distracted and divided. If people would do what they have been called to do, they wouldn’t have time to worry about what someone else is doing. We all have the same mission. That is, to wins souls for the Kingdom! God is looking for a yielded vessel that is humble, dedicated and one who knows His voice.

Some people who are not Christians won’t listen to the preacher unless it is a man or a woman; some won’t listen unless the person is dressed in jeans and a “T” Shirt or a person who is wearing a fine outfit. Let’s face it! God knows what it takes to get the job done, and He knows who to use for His Plan of Salvation to be fulfilled. According to the Word of God, His Plan of Action also included women. I know this because the word of God says, the first Evangelist was Mary Magdalene. She brought the Good News to the disciples when she said, "He has risen." This is the good news that changed the world. And yet, it was some of the disciples who doubted Jesus' resurrection until He later appeared to them. But keep in mind that it was the disciples who walked and talked with Jesus. In other words, God have a preacher for every creature, and the message is still the same regardless of whose mouth it comes out of, including a Jack Ass. For some people, ignorance can be self-inflicted.

The Scriptures should be interpreted in light of all the Scriptures. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 14:34 and 35, "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak: but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." To begin with, every woman doesn’t have a husband. Also, Paul was speaking according to the law, and he was addressing a church that had many problems. It was better for women to keep silent because the men had messed up big time. During slavery, African Americans were silenced because they were not allowed to read or write or educate themselves. During the time of early Biblical teachings, women, too, were not allowed to educate themselves and they were kept in a certain place, so to speak, just like the slaves were. Because of this tradition or control, aka bondage, this law was implemented. Again, the first teacher that a child has is their mother.

Regardless of how you look at it, there are some people who have taken the Bible out of context to incorporate their Man-made doctrine and traditions along with their spiritual bondage and their spiritual abuse. I thank God those times have changed and women, just like African Americans have been set free from bondage in a great sense.  So, you see, the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden was God's Divine Plan so that He could fulfil His Plan of Action for Salvation for the world.

I am not trying to convince you or anyone for that matter. Women are in fact, called to the ministry. I merely want to give you a little spiritual nugget that says, God can use whomever He wants. As an ordained minister who is anointed and appointed to teach and preach the Gospel, I am merely trying to impart Holy Ghost knowledge and wisdom to those who put limitations on God. Now...if God can open the mouth of a dumb Jack Ass who wasn’t saved surely, He can use a spirit-filled, anointed, appointed, licensed, ordained, saved, sanctified, speaking-in-tongue, baptized, praying, dedicated, educated Christian woman who loves the Lord, and who has dedicated her life to Him to bring forth His Word in Holy Ghost power. The last thing a women need is another man telling her what to do. If you have a problem with women, it may be because you have a problem with your mother. Own it! Jesus’ mother was a woman who gave birth to the only Savior of the world. May God continue to bless you richly is my prayer.
