Dr. Naomi C. Roberson was born and raised in a housing project located on the far south side of Chicago Illinois; she is the seventh of eleven children. She is the former CEO of her own Publishing Company, an Organizational Psychologist, an author, the Executive Producer/Host of her own Talk Show on cable television, former Radio Host, and an Ordained Minister. She earned her Doctor of Science Degree in Organizational Psychology and earned another Doctor of Arts Degree in Divinity; she also earned a Master of Science Degree in Management, a Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree in Behavioral Science with a concentration in accounting, and an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Accounting. She is a Licensed Substitute Teacher for K thru 12th grades and has taught college and business schools. Dr. Roberson received a Certificate in Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling and is a Certified Healthcare Specialist in the areas of Phlebotomy, Electrocardiogram (EKG) and Triage.

Dr. Roberson is the recipient of several awards including a Recognition Award from the former Mayor of Chicago, Illinois for honoring over 80 women with the “Virtuous Woman Award.” In 1992 she was the president of the National Association for Women in Ministry and The Virtuous Woman Award. In 2001, she was honored with the “Virtuous Woman of the Year Award.” Dr. Roberson was also the recipient of the “Woman of the Year Impact Award” for Women in Business; she was chosen for the Women’s Federation of World Peace (WFWP) for the Bridge Crossing Ceremony. The Bridge Crossing ceremony is a symbol of peace between Japan and the United States. In October 1981 Naomi and David became Born-again Christians and placed their membership under the late Pastor George Liggins where the present pastor is Dr. Rev. Dr. Larry Egwu. Several years later, they were ordained and were installed as pastors. They pastored their own church for nearly fifteen years; presently they have a community outreach to feed and clothe families, as well as assisting other small and growing churches.

Dr. Roberson married David (Doc) Roberson, formerly a world-renowned R & B singing group, The Chi-lites. The Chi-lites received 5 gold LP's, 5 gold singles and 18 top 20 R&B singles. Some of their hits were, Old Girl,” “Have You Seen Her” and more. The Chi-Lites have been one of the most popular groups for that classic windy city sound that is recognized world-wide. In September 2021, the Chi-lites received a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Dr. Roberson was employed as an Accounting Supervisor in the Finance Department at a major university in Chicago and was later promoted as an Administrative Assistant for Grants and Contracts in the Medical School; she was the Director of Finance for a Domestic Violence Agency and was employed with two mental health agencies.  From 1991 through 2004, Dr. Roberson was an energetic, savvy entrepreneur who orchestrated several business programs and established businesses for her clients. She was the CEO of her own Accounting and Management Consulting Firm with two offices in Chicago. One office was on the Southeast Side of Chicago (Pill Hill), and another office on North Michigan Avenue (The Magnificent Mile). She was still able to make her family her first priority. Dr. Roberson is the Founder and Academic Dean for the Institute for Biblical and Ministerial Studies.

Dr. Roberson and her husband, Rev. David W. Roberson, have over 10 years’ experience in “Flipping Properties.” They were instrumental in establishing and implementing a rehab apprentice program to train young men and women ages 18 to 25. During the Mayor’s Kid Start Summer Program. Their organization received the Kid Start Award from the former Mayor of Chicago, Illinois for creating positive alternatives for the youth. She is the Publisher and Managing Editor for her own Newsletter, The Trumpet, and has authored and published several books, poems and articles for herself and her clients. Dr. Roberson is the quintessential leader, and one who has a wealth of knowledge and gifts, experience, and wisdom to mentor others, as she serves the community.
